As part of potentially the most awkward movie experience of 2019, Netflix and Funny or Die have finally blessed us with a release date.
‘Between Two Ferns’ will bring Zach Galifianakis’ long-running and totally cringeworthy web series to much larger streaming screens as of September.
Funny or Die announced this week that the movie would be titled Between Two Ferns: The Movie, and fans can cop a sweet Netflix viewing as of the 20th of September. According to their announcement, the movie will feature Galifianakis as well as other “celebrities you’ve heard of.”

Veteran comic and Comedy Bang! Bang! hero Scott Aukerman being tapped for the directorial role, this movie will serve as the first proper instalment of the series in well over a year. While there’s a whole lot of good expected from this, my expectations can’t be too high at the same time. After all, the most recent instalment featured Cardi B. Other recent guests in the series have been Jerry Seinfeld, and Hilary Clinton.
Zach and his crew are taking a road trip to complete a series of high-profile celebrity interviews and restore his reputation.
