Back in December, last year whispers of a Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion began to circulate, sending bleeding heart 90s-nostalgia freaks into total hysterics.

Now, get ready to whip out your stone-washed mom jeans and hair clips, because the original 90s gang are officially getting back together for a revival series as confirmed by FOX.

90s icons  Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling will all be returning to show in which they’ll each play “heightened versions of themselves”. The revival, titled 90210 is set to air this US Summer with a six-episode package ordered by CBS Tv Studios.

The show hasn’t even aired yet but our yearning for a bad-boy Dylan McKay type is burning like a hot Malibu day, our need to take a spontaneous weekend trip to Cabo San Lucas is strong and the lack of Peach Pit in our lives is starting to feel like an endless void.

Check out the teaser trailer below, which features a short snippet of what seems to be a revamped version of the show’s legendary theme song.

Beverly Hills, 90210 left an indelible impact on pop culture and an entire generation, its powerful legacy is an important part of our network’s DNA – bold stories not told anywhere else and bigger-than-life-characters – and we’re honored to bring back the beloved original cast members for 90210,”said Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn.

Tori Spelling of Donna Martin fame has commented on the revival, noting that fans can expect to see a Curb Your Enthusiasm type show, which will portray both fictional and nonfiction aspects of each cast member’s lives.

“It’s not technically a reboot, because I feel like everyone has seen the reboot, we don’t want to be the last ones like doing the reboot thing, and no one wants to see like old versions of ourselves, but they do want to see us playing our characters, so what we’re doing is the entire cast is playing heightened versions of themselves.

Think Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes, in an hourlong show, and we’re all playing heightened versions, so it could be fictional, it could be nonfictional, people will have to guess. And then we will have pop-ins because we’re behind the scenes trying to do the reboot.”
