The new season of Big Brother, Big Brother Back To The Future, features eight returning housemates from previous seasons of the show. As far as Big Brother goes, there are some huge names amongst the cast, including Tim Dormer and Reggie Bird.

Considering the huge popularity of the returning contestants, fans assumed that the housemates would be getting paid well for their time on the show. However, that’s far from the case.

A source has told Yahoo Lifestyle that the returning housemates are paid the same amount as the new housemates and that they’re getting a mere $120 a day.

“Although you’d assume some of them would have bagged big fees, the majority of the old stars simply said yes as they know getting back in the public eye again will lead to more media work, brand deals and income outside of the show,” a source told the publication.

Big Brother Back To The Future only kicked off on Monday night, but bookies may have already leaked who has won the season.

Popular gambling site Sportsbet has pinned one contestant as the most likely to take out the BB crown this season. Sportsbet posts commonly create categories for popular Australian reality shows and let people place best about who they think will win. In the past, the contestants who have better odds have often won the show. Many people have speculated that this is related to insider trading and that punters who have confirmed information about who wins the show place their bets early.

Based on Sportsbet’s impressive track record for revealing Australian reality TV show winners, signs point to Reggie Bird becoming the first two time winner of Australian Big Brother.

The self-proclaimed ‘Aussie larrikin’ has odds of $2.00 to win the series. That means if a punter places a $1.00 bet and Bird wins the season, they’ll receive $2.00 back.

While the past has suggested that low dollar values are linked to a high chance that the participant will win, it’s important to note that insider trading is strictly banned on the platform and the connection could be purely coincidental.
