Over the past few weeks, rumours/speculations/prayers of Big Brother’s return hit their groundswell. Now, the return of everyone’s favourite messy reality show has been confirmed. As TV Blackbox reveals, Big Brother is BACK BABY! set to be produced by Endemol Shine Australia, and they’re looking to cast very soon.
The show swept the nation when it originally premiered in 2001 and ran for eight, glorious seasons. They attempted to reboot it once on Nine from 2012 to 2014, but it was a humongous flop. I mean, it was hosted by Sonia Kruger, how is a show to survive in the hands of that flavourless priss?
The network set to host the prime viewing remains a mystery. Blackbox has reported that the industry word on the street is that Seven will be holding down the fort, with Channel 1 declining to comment and Nine not responding. God this is truly the golden era of Australian reality tomfoolery.
