Major congrats are in order for Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell, who revealed the exciting news that they’re expecting a “baby wildlife warrior”.

Taking to social media, the 22-year-old daughter of beloved Aussie icon Steve Irwin posted a sweet snap holding an adorably tiny khaki Australia Zoo uniform.

“Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021,” the post began.

“Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you.”

Bindi continued, “Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives.”

“Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light,” she concluded.

Friends and fans were quick to send their well wishes to the pair, with Aussie TV star Rove McManus commenting:

“You two just keep spreading joy right when we need it. This will no doubt be the perfect union of two of the most positive, inspiring, decent and caring people on the planet. I can’t wait to meet the little one and swap khakis together. Congratulations and all the best for a safe and healthy next few months. Enormous amounts of love from the three of us.”

Stranger Things star Millie Bobbie Brown added, “Congratulations! So exciting, so happy for you both.”

American-born Chandler also shared an emotional post on Instagram on Tuesday night, saying, “Becoming a dad is the highlight of my life. I cannot wait to embark on this new adventure and life chapter with my gorgeous wife.

“Bee, you’re going to be the most amazing mother.”

The news comes five months after the pair wed in an intimate ceremony at Australia Zoo on March 25, just hours prior to the Federal Government deadline limiting numbers at public gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic.
