In response to leaks of her new album Vulnicure, Björkannounced today that she has moved the release of the record two months forward. Originally due out in March, the album has just been digitally released worldwide.
The iconic Icelandic artist took to Facebook to announce the details saying “dear websitefolks , fans , tweeters and my music supporters on all the sorts of www : vulnicura will be rolling out worldwide over the next 24 hours !!” linking to the album and also saying “i am so grateful you are still interested in my work !! i appreciate every little bit !!!”
The Facebook post also delves into the themes of the record, that she describes as a “complete breakup album”. It features nine songs including collaborations with artists such as Antony and Robin Carolan.
Björk’s new album Vulnicura is available on iTunes now. CD and Vinyl editions will become available in March.
