Fans of two of Netflix’s most popular reality shows; Selling Sunset and Bling Empire may be surprised to hear that millionaire Kane Lim is actually listed as an employee on The Oppenheim group’s website.
Lim starred in season one of Bling Empire and Netflix has confirmed that he will be back for season two of the reality show. During his time on the show, he flaunted his wealth and claimed that the movie, Crazy Rich Asians, was based on him. He is reportedly worth over $20 million, and it’s known that he is a real estate investor.
The Oppenheim Group is the hugely successful Los Angeles real estate agency that the hit show Selling Sunset is based around.
So, while Lim’s history of investing in luxurious real estate may make the news of his position at The Oppenheim Group not entirely out of the left field, it’s still an interesting reality TV crossover.
Lim is listed as a ‘realtor associate’ on The Oppenheim Group’s official website. Those not familiar with real estate may be wondering exactly what a ‘realtor associate is.
U.S. recruitment website ZipRecruiter defines the role as; “A real estate sales associate is a sales agent who focuses on the buying process of properties and homes. In this role, you prepare and show a house to potential buyers and negotiate sales agreements between the property owner and the buyer.”

On The Oppenheim Group’s website, Lim’s bio describes him as a “lifelong philanthropist” who has developed and sold three properties.
“As an experienced Real Estate Developer and agent, Kane has most recently developed and sold three properties in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Venice Beach. He has recently focused his attention on Residential projects and Commercial properties in Asia.
‘Kane takes pride in his interpersonal skills and his ability to know what the wants and needs of buyers and sellers are. He possesses an innate understanding of market trends and enjoys the challenges and rewards of real estate transactions.”
Lim isn’t the first non-Selling-Sunset reality star to appear on The Oppenheim Group’s website. Kate Gallivan, who appeared on last year’s season of The Bachelor America is also listed as an agent.
