The Wiggles original lineup bushfire fundraiser shows nearly turned to tragedy over the weekend with yellow wiggle GregPage suffering a heart attack on stage.
It was a frightening moment for the band and fans alike, something blue wiggle Anthony Field drove home in a recent update about Greg’s health.
“He (Greg) was gone really,” he told reporters, noting that “he came off stage and collapsed, there was no pulse, no breathing….luckily our wonderful drummer Steve Pace and Kimmy (Antonelli – staff member)..they knew CPR and they really brought Greg back”.

Anthony also praised the efforts of off-duty nurse Grace Jones, who used an onsite defibrillator to save Page’s life.
We’ve visited Greg this morning & he wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes. He’s so grateful for the messages of love & support from around the world. Greg’s main concern was that the show tonight should go on. Let’s do it for Greg whilst raising much needed funds pic.twitter.com/8CBT7P8roA

When asked about Page’s health, a clearly emotional Field praised him as “such a positive man.”
“His family are with him, all around the world people have sent messages…it was frightening to see a friend in such a bad way like that, and I’m really glad that they could bring him to the hospital.
“It’s been really tough.” Watch the interview below.
The band performed the second of two scheduled shows to raise money for the RFS on Saturday night sans Page in what was an ultimate case of ‘the show must go on.’
Page stepped down from the band in 2006 after suffering from Dysautonomia, a disease that affects his automatic immune system and causes orthostatic intolerance, fatigue and numerous other symptoms.
