MAFS alum Brent Vitiello has asked his followers to be kind to the new MAFS contestants, regardless of whether they like them or not.
MAFS season ten will premiere on Monday, January 30th on Channel 9. In the first few episodes, viewers are set to see twenty brides and grooms get paired off and married before heading off on their honeymoon together.
Every season, there’s at least one villain on MAFS who stirs the pot. While this villain helps make the show entertaining, they usually receive a lot of backlash on social media.
Last year, one of those villains was Brent’s partner, Tamara Djordjevic. However, despite having to live with one of the proclaimed villains of the show, Brent has begged viewers to be nice to the contestants on the upcoming season.
“Just always keep in mind, these people are still human, whether you like them or not,” he wrote in a story.
He added, “Words can hurt, hate can hurt, please keep that in mind. You have no idea what people are going through.”
Brent placed the aforementioned words over a screenshot of a post shared by the official MAFS account, which read: “We all love watching MAFS and following the journey of the participants in Australia’s biggest social experiment. This is a space to celebrate our couples, support and encourage them. Negative, offensive or personal comments against participants, experts or fellow MAFS viewers will not be tolerated.”

The executive producer of Channel 9, John Walsh, has promised that the upcoming season of MAFS will be packed full of scandals.
“We have scandals again, but scandals that you haven’t seen. And that’s what I love about this, the reality Gods have really kind of smiled down on us… because it’s never a rinse and repeat. It’s not the same thing [as previous seasons],” Walsh told Variety.
He added, “And we are absolutely going to get the country talking again. What I love about “MAFS” is it starts a lot of dialogue. Last year it was the Only Fans dialogue. It was the racism dialogue… This season does the same thing, and it’s going to have people divided about a lot of things, and it’s going to have people fired up about a lot of things.”
“It was a real challenge to come in with this. People’s expectations of “MAFS” are very high. And I used to get asked a lot ‘How are you going to top Season 9?’ And it’s a path fraught with danger to set out to try and top it,” he said.
