Brunch, the best meal of the day. There are no rules. The world is your oyster. You can accompany your meal with either an espresso or an espresso martini and not feel the cruel cast of judgement. To celebrate brunch in all its glory, we’ve put together a list of our favourite brunch spots in Potts Point, check it out below.

Room 10

You might have to wait a while for a table at this petite laneway institution, but the fruits of your labour will be rewarded with a truly satisfying breakfast extravaganza. There’s a vibe for everyone, whether your idea of brunch is a short black and an impossibly sumptuous croissant, or you’re a stickler for an oozy grilled cheese — they’ve got all the bases covered. The weekend Mediterranean special is one of the finest breakfast dishes in Sydney in my humble opinion, make sure to grab an extra perfectly boiled egg.

Smalls Deli

Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay boast some of the finest green areas in Sydney. Smalls Deli hasn’t a seating area but I can’t stress how soul-nourishing it is to grab a sambo and a coffee and soak up the sun whilst watching the koi fish flop around at Arthur McElhone Reserve. Every sandwich at Smalls is a real treat but we can’t go past their mouthwatering egg and dill Comrade Ovo number. Sublime.

Yellow

A life without Yellow’s liquorice bread with house-churned cultured butter is not a life worth living. This is truly a special occasion kind of breakfast. One in which you throw on your finest little Jane Birkin-core frock and live your life as if you’re the star of a New Wave film. Yellow has one of the most divine, expansive wine lists in Sydney, perfect to cap off a brunch.

Fratelli Paradiso

Another chic as hell dining spot. Delicious weekend breakfast options and Fratelli’s cult Italian staples. Whilst we’re living through a time where a Eurotrip feels like a relic from a bygone era, it’s the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to an early-afternoon spaghetti scampi and a crisp glass of white. Mangia Mangia!

La Bomba

Oh baby, baby. One of the best spots for a Spanish breakfast in Sydney. The perfect spot to rope in a couple friends and share plates tapas style. The vegetarian empanadas are worth taking a bullet for.

The Butler

Each Sunday, The Butler do an $88 bottomless brunch that I dream about. Ibero-American food built to share and bubbles for days. It’s a little opulent, a little cheeky, and a hell of a lot delicious.
