A Morley restaurant have unveiled their new burger in honour of loudmouth businessman Clive Palmer, called The Fat Can’t.

Rack City Ribs debuted the spicy creation overnight and it contains: “Chive Palmergiana, bacon, onion, chips, cheese, tomato, ketchup, seeded potato bun and Hellmann’s Mayo.”

Palmer has been a busy bee in recent weeks, continually challenging to reopen Western Australia’s borders amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, something which the burger joint are against. “Part proceeds go to border security,” they say. “Show support for your state, eat a Fat Can’t.”

Although we don’t condone any form of fat-shaming at The Brag, it’s nice to see boomers like Palmer being rightly mocked. The burger also simply looks supremely delicious, judging by Rack City Rib’s Instagram picture.

Western Australia closed their borders at the onset of the pandemic and the state has been doing well to combat COVID-19. There are just seven active cases in the whole of WA, including a woman who just returned from overseas and remains in hotel quarantine.

With worried glances to the current situation in Melbourne, many residents of WA fear an increase in new cases if the borders are reopened. In an ironic twist, Clive Palmer himself was denied entry to the state back in May.

The businessman even went as far as launching a legal challenge, claiming that the state’s “hard border” is an unconstitutional “act of stupidity”. A decision from the High Court is expected later this year.

Palmer’s insistence has also frustrated WA’s Premier Mark McGowan, leading to him to wickedly call Palmer a “menace to Australia”, adding:

“I’d just say to the Liberal Party, don’t support him in the High Court – it’s wrong. It’s irresponsible and it’s playing with people’s lives. Mr Palmer and the Liberal Party should back off from the High Court action.”
