Punk legends the Buzzcocks have announced they will kick off their 40th birthday celebrationswith a tour of Australiain March.

The UK group will play Golden Plains Festival plus a run of capital city headline shows while they are here.

Since forming in February 1976, Buzzcocks have released nine albums – six of those after their break-up in 1981 and reformation in 1989 – as well as a stream of globally successful singles.

Buzzcocks will take over the Factory Theatre on Friday March 11. Tickets go on sale Friday October 30through the venue.
