It was only a matter of time before Cardi B’s inimitable personality hit the silver screen. The rapper will be making her feature film debut in upcoming stripper flick, Hustlers.

As Deadline reports, the Grammy Award-winning artist will be joining Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians)Lili Reinhart (Riverdale), Julia Stiles (10 Things I Hate About You), Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King), Keke Palmer (Scream Queens) and more.

Hustlers is written and directed by Lorene Scafaria (Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist), filming is scheduled to begin on March 22nd.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with this dynamic group of women,” Scafaria told Deadline. “We’re grateful to have assembled such a powerhouse cast and can’t wait to start filming at the end of the week.”

Hustlers is based on a 2016 article published in New York Magazine about a group of strippers that scam Wall Street clients. Essentially, it’s the perfect movie.

If you weren’t already aware, before Cardi B broke into the music scene with her blistering track ‘Bodak Yellow’, the musician worked as a stripper in a Manhattan Club.

Cardi has frequently used her platform to advocate for sex workers. In a cover story with Cosmopolitan, Cardi B shared “People say, ‘Why do you always got to say that you used to be a stripper? We get it.’ Because y’all don’t respect me because of it, and y’all going to respect these strippers from now on.”
