Captain America has responded. This is not a drill. Chris Evans has spoken after the accidental sharing of his nude photo appeared online.

The Marvel star’s picture dominated the internet for a few days after he accidentally posted the picture. To his 7.5 million followers. I KNOW.

The name “Chris Evans” became the top trending topic on Twitter over the weekend after that video on his Instagram Stories showed a nude picture of a penis. The video was a screen recording and showed a camera roll that included the X-rated photo.

The saucy pic was included after a video of Evans playing a game of Heads Up with his family then showed a screen grab of the actor’s photo gallery on his phone.

The camera roll also featured other photos of Evans, including a meme of him that said, “Guard that p*ssy.”

While the actor was quick to take down the photo, he wasn’t fast enough to avoid some of his followers seizing the opportunity to share it around on social media.

But fans immediately showed their support for Evans by posting photos of him and his dog on Twitter in an attempt to drown out screen grabs of the aforementioned Instagram Stories.

To his credit, though, Evans has not shied away from it all. A staunch critic of President Donald Trump, the actor has taken this opportunity to bring the discussion around to politics.

“Now that I have your attention…. VOTE Nov 3rd!!!”, he tweeted on Tuesday to enthusiastic response.

His statement has gained the approval of fellow celebrities, including his Knives Out costar Jamie Lee Curtis.

“My boy! Proud of him. Got MY attention!” she replied to his post.

“This is a power move,” said actress Hilarie Burton.

The Good Place star Jameela Jamil chimed in: “You did it for your country.”

It’s not his first foray into political territory either. Evans launched the bipartisan political website A Starting Point back in July, which aims to inform voters by featuring politicians speaking about issues in the United States.

“There’s a lot of things you can do as an actor with your name,” Evans told People magazine.

“I could be making booze – and I don’t discourage anyone from doing that, I love booze – but there’s no denying that I played a certain character, and it just so happens to align with part of my nature in terms of being someone who is politically involved and who cares about the well-being of people in this country.”
