Chris Lilley has announced he will begin shooting his next television series this month.

The ten-episode show will be filmed on the Gold Coast and, according to the QLD Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, will generate $6.35 million for the GC economy.

“I am delighted to have enticed Chris Lilley and producer Laura Waters to Queensland,” she said. “The series will employ up to 250 Queensland cast and extras, plus around 100 Queensland crew.”

Nothing more is known about the project, but it will be interesting to see if he steers away from controversy, considering his history of racial insensitivity.
