Reality star Ciarran Stott has shared his battle with drugs and alcohol, saying he’s hurt the people closest to him “over and over again.”

Ciarran first rose to fame after an appearance on Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette in 2019. He self-eliminated from the show when his grandmother died, but returned to reality TV to star in Bachelor in Paradise and will compete in the upcoming season of The Challenge.

The reality star’s bad boy ways made headlines during his time on Bachelor in Paradise, largely because he was pursuing three women – Cass Mamone, Abbie Chatfield and Jessica Brody – at the same time. He was later embroiled in another BIP love triangle with his ex-girlfriend Renee Barett and Kiki Morris.

The 28-year-old has now taken to his Instagram to shed some light on his battle with alcohol and drugs and has said he is quitting both.

“The biggest mistakes I’ve made in life come when I consume alcohol & drugs. So I decided it was finally time to put a stop to it all,” he began the post.

“No more drinking! No more drugs! No more of that bullshit. I turn into the biggest muppet there is and hurt the people closest to me over and over again. I probably should’ve realised this a few years ago but it’s better late than never.

“It’s a long road ahead to becoming the best version of myself I can be. One for myself and two for my relationship and family. The support from my partner, family and friends is next to none and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you all.”
