Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins’ last words after being accidentally shot by Alec Baldwin on the set of Rust have been revealed.

After speaking to 14 Rust crew members and reviewing documentary evidence including text messages and meals, The Los Angeles Times has detailed the exact words of both Halyna Hutchins and Alec Baldwin immediately following the incident.

As Baldwin was preparing for a shooting scene inside a church, he rehearsed going through the motions with the gun as the camera crew got its angles right.

While showing the crew what he would do when the cameras started rolling, he reportedly said: “So. I guess I’m gonna take this out, pull it and go, ‘Bang!’”

From there, the weapon – which was meant to be loaded with dummy rounds – accidentally discharged and struck Hutchins in the chest and director Joel Souza in the shoulder.

“What the fuck just happened?” said repeatedly, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“What the fuck was that? That burns!” Souza yelled.

Meanwhile, Hutchins had collapsed back into the arms of the film’s head electrician as she bled profusely from her wound.

“Oh, that was no good,” a boom operator reportedly said, to which Hutchins replied: “No… that was no good. That was no good at all.”

Baldwin spoke about the incident with a group of paparazzi who were following him across Vermont over the weekend.

“There are incidental accidents on film sets from time to time, but nothing like this,” he said.

“We were a very, very well-oiled crew shooting a film together and then this horrible event happened.”
