The big business of UFC fighter Conor McGregor just got even more confusing.
Earlier this week, Conor McGregor announced that he would be retiring from mixed martial arts. This announcement came just hours after it was revealed he was negotiating his return to The Octagon.
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.

Then, it was revealed he was under investigation in Ireland over a sexual assault allegation made against him by an unnamed woman in December 2018. Coincidence? We think not.
Now, the 30-year-old Irish fighter, who is a two-division UFC champion, is back in training. As reported by Stuff, photos have emerged of McGregor doing shadow boxing and sparring at a Miami gym.
If indeed McGregor is bluffing about his retirement, it would come as no surprise. He has retired and un-retired before. In 2016 he announced his retirement when he was removed from the UFC 200 card. In October that year he fought Khabib Nurmagomedov and lost by fourth-round submission.
