Parcels, the Byron Bay quintet that caught the eye of none other than Daft Punk, are heading back to Sydney later this year as they arrive on home soil for a short run of homecoming shows.

While Parcels are these days based in Berlin rather than Byron, they managed to run into Daft Punk’s Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter at a Parisian club along the way, enlisting them to co-write and produce their track ‘Overnight’.

Now, the group are taking time out of their busy American and European touring schedule to make a trip back home for a few summer shows over at the start of next year. Kicking off their Aussie tour with a spot on Sydney’s NYE In The Park event, the group are set to take a few days off before they resume touring, hitting up Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, before playing their final show for the foreseeable future in Byron Bay.

The group are also set to support Phoenix on their European tour in September, proving once again that good ol’ Aussie talent is the envy of the musical world.

Check out Parcels’ ‘Overnight’, co-written and produced by Daft Punk’s Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, below.
