Sydney-based singer-songwriter Dean Lewis has today released his new video for single ‘Chemicals’.

Taken from Lewis’ debut EP Same Kind of Different, the song was re-recorded for the album after a live version of the song, reached over 100,000 views on YouTube.

‘Chemicals’ is about, in Lewis’ words: “that feeling of being addicted to someone and them being around you”.

Following his North American shows, Lewis will head out on tour through the US in support of Sigrid, winner of the highly influential BBC Sound of 2018.

Lewis is no stranger to accolades either; last week, ‘Waves’ was nominated for 2 two APRA Awards for Most Played Australian Work and Pop Work of the Year. His songwriting has also been recognised overseas, with nominations for the esteemed International Songwriting Competition in categories of Music Video, Performance and Pop/Top 40.

As well as having the single ‘Waves’ picked up by the hugely popular US show Suits, Lewis also recently claimed his third Gold plus selling single from Same Kind of Different, entitled ‘Need You Now’.

With the artist’s music having been streamed over 148 million times and his videos viewed in excess of 32 million times globally, Lewis, like his fellow performer Sigrid, has firmly established himself as a musician on the rise in 2018.
