Delta Goodrem has cemented herself as one of the most successful artists in Australian history, however, she has announced that she’s leaving singing behind periodically.
Goodrem, who originally got her start as an actor in Neighbours, is going back to her roots and starring in a movie. The 38-year-old shared the exciting news with her followers on Instagram.
She shared a series of photos from the set of the movie and captioned the pictures, “So excited to share….. that I have been living on a MOVIE set! In the glorious Whitsundays working away on a beautiful story called ‘Love Is In The Air’ with Jaggi Entertainment and the incredible and Roy Billing… more coming soon….. !’
Goodrem’s boyfriend – who is also Kylie Minogue’s ex – was in the background of one of the pics and appears to be on set with her as the films the new movie.
Actor Simon Brook McLachlan and comedian Steph Tisdell, who also have roles in ‘Love Is In The Air’ commented on the pic and reflected on filming with the superstar.
“What a great gig. Loved being in this film acting alongside you and can’t wait to see it premiere,” Simon wrote, while Steph commented: “What a bloody dream to work with you! Thanks for the yarns, laughs and space invading. Big love!”

Goodrem hit the mainstream way back in 2002 when she released both her single ‘Born To Try’ and made her debut on Neighbours within the same year. She stayed on the soap playing for another year as Nina Tucker before stepping down to prioritise her health after she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 18.
Since recovering from cancer, Goodrem has gone from strength to strength in her musical career, scooping up nine ARIA awards and taking on hosting gigs on The Voice, and reprising Olivia Newton-John in biopic Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You.
