2020 has turned us into utter couch potatoes because with nothing on outside, why not just park ourselves in front of the TV? Well, Disney wants to change that, and they’ve been dishing out a few follow-along workouts to get us grooving to their movies, rather than just parking our behinds on the sofa.
If you’ve used isolation to be ridiculously productive, then this article isn’t for you. If you’ve been nothing but a couch potato, catching up on TV shows, movies, and eating more snacks than ever before, keep on reading.
Disney has noticed we’ve been watching a bit more media these days. With them bringing Disney+ to us not too long ago, we’ve been lapping up those nostalgic movies, keen to travel back to a day where all this 2020 business just didn’t exist.
Obviously, sitting around on the sofa all day isn’t the absolute best move for our health, so Disney+ has released a few follow-along workouts for us to rock out to while watching some classic films.
Taking to Instagram, the streaming platform cheekily noted for us to, “pull the lever, not a hammy” while unveiling the perfect workout to pair up with The Emperor’s New Groove, which includes doing ten squat jumps every time Yzma gets snippy with Kronk, and 20 lunges when Kuzco acts a bit selfish.

The Emperor’s New Groove not quite your cup of tea? Disney has also unleashed a work out to pair with Lilo & Stitch, where you’ll be doing a massive five burpees every time the man’s ice cream falls, and a 30-second plank each time the word “ohana” is said.
Whether you’re reminiscing on some good ol’ films, or have them on to entertain your kids, you can at least get in on some fun doing these workouts alongside. Or, you could be like me, think these are all good and fun, but still just sit your butt on the sofa while downing an entire packet of Tim Tam bikkies. The choice is yours.
