The internet is mostly a horrible place but it’s content like this that keeps us sucking from its teat. Some wonderful, anonymous person is running an Instagram account, @dogseatinggently, dedicated to dogs eating gently. We have been blessed.

I feel like it’s a rising trend to be cynical towards people that find enjoyment in dogs doing things. But like, in a world full of awfulness, is finding genuine joy in these sweet creatures such a crime? I’m sick of people accusing people of liking things to make up for a lack of personality? Isn’t a personality essentially built on a backbone of one’s likes or dislikes? Let the people say “doggo” and go on with your day. It is not everybody’s priority to be cool. Let the people like what they like! Apathy will never be as fulfilling as the sweet embrace of a slobbery St. Bernard.

So on that note, please, take the time to scroll through this wonderful account. Perhaps put on some soothing, ambient, meditational tracks whilst you peruse. This is your time to truly ground yourself, acknowledge your surroundings, be at peace with your body, and witness dogs find euphoria within a tablespoon gently cradling a glob of peanut butter.

This one is so gentle, and his eyebrows? Brooke Shields found unemployed.

So silly.

This sweet thing is a little hesitant to devour the crinkle cut crisp he is presented with. As I would be too. What if it was some rancid flavour like light & tangy or sour cream & onion on offer.

There is an entire account dedicated to this gorgeous content so go, leave this article right now and spend your time on something that will actually fill you with joy. There’s describing an experience and there is experiencing it. You know what to do.

In case you missed it, last month Sydney Opera House enlisted the help of dogs to chase away chip thieving seagulls. Read all about it now.
