If progressive-rock, stage theatrics, and seeing some of the most accomplished musicians in the game today is your thing, then you might just be keen to learn that prog-rock legends have announced a small run of Aussie shows in September.
The legendary US rockers are set to hit up Melbourne and Sydney in September, as they bring Aussie audiences their ‘Images, Words & Beyond’ 25th anniversary tour, plus a chance to hear some of their newest record, 2016’s The Astonishing.
The Boston quintet, whose lineup includes John Petrucci, one of Rolling Stone‘s greatest guitarists of all time, are undoubtedly set to put on one unforgettable show on this brief tour. This is the first time that Dream Theater have been on our shores since 2014, so you might be in for a bit of a wait if you miss out on these shows.
While Dream Theater’s ex-drummer Mike Portnoy will be hitting our shores for a tour in November, and will undoubtedly be bringing out a few of his old band’s classic hits, you should definitely be sure to catch the real deal while they’re in town.
