Dreams is already making waves on PS4, so we take a look to see what the fuss is about, and get our hands on the Vanquish and Bayonetta remaster, Darksiders Genesis and Logitech’s G915 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Keyboard.
Dreams (PS4)

Dreams is like the video game equivalent of a five-year-old being let loose in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Developed by the team behind LittleBigPlanet, this latest effort is probably unlike anything you’ve played before, and that makes it incredibly difficult to actually explain.
In essence, Dreams acts as a development engine, allowing you to create whatever the hell you please with the available tools – and they are extensive. So far people have recreated versions of Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear Solid and everything in between. Hell, there’s even a recreation of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker dancing down the stairs (the porn version, yeah… not so much). If you prefer something more original, that’s also in high supply – highlighting the play, create, share vision that Media Molecule is known for.
The good news is that, if like us you don’t have a creative bone in your body, you can simply put all this creation hogwash straight in the too hard basket and simply browse and play other people’s hard work. It’s a surprising amount of fun and will only become more impressive as time goes on. If you’ve been wanting to break away from mainstream video games, Dreams is the perfect way to do it.
Darksiders Genesis (PS4, Switch, XBO)
With three games already under its belt, Darksiders Genesis marks a significant change for the action-adventure series, entering the Action-RPG realm à la Diablo. The isometric camera change thankfully doesn’t deviate proceedings too dramatically, but while the game certainly possesses a new look and feel, you’ll still be hacking and slashing the shit out of pretty much everything like Darksiders fans are used to.

The change in style also melds well with the series’ love of puzzles, and the new skill and upgrade trees are fun to mess around with. It’s worth noting though that due to the nature of the Switch’s smaller screen, combined with a more pulled out view, some battles can be a bit of a pain to see, leading to a bit of confusion and some serious squinting. So too the visuals will take a slight dip compared to its bigger console brothers, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had here, especially if you have a friend to help.
Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Edition (PS4, XBO)
Just as we’re getting ready to show the door to this generation of consoles, two cult classics are trying to squeeze their way into your lives with this new remaster. Both Bayonetta and Vanquish are equally beloved by their fans for their chaotic action and batshit story ideas.
The former focuses on an Umbra Witch who can summon demons with her hair, rising from a lengthy slumber with no recollection of her mysterious past, while the latter focuses on an incredibly nimble space marine battling against a solar-powered space colony gone bad.
You might not have any idea what the hell is actually happening, but the gameplay more than makes up for it, and while relatively straightforward remasters, the updated 4K visuals and smoother framerates make this the ideal way to play both entries.
Hands-on with the Logitech G915 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Keyboard
If your old keyboard was anything like ours, it’s old, a little bit broken and covered in pizza crumbs. Thankfully Logitech came along and showed us the way, so if you’re looking to beef up your PC setup, you needn’t look further than the G915 LIGHTSPEED. It’s bloody impressive and god damn stunning.
Once you unwrap this beaut, you’ll notice a few things: it’s completely wireless, allowing for some serious decluttering even Marie Kondo would be proud of, and it’s crazy thin. As a result, the keys have a little less give than you might be used to for a PC keyboard, but definitely more than what you would expect on a laptop. It’ll take a bit of adjustment, but once you do it’ll work a treat. Plus, from the many hours we played around with it, we experienced zero input lag with any of our commands.
Obviously the most fun feature to mess around with is the G915’s LIGHTSYNC RGB technology which enables fully customisable per-key lighting across more than 16.8m colours. Essentially that means you can turn your device into a neon disco ball, allowing for a wild amount of personal flair.
The biggest hurdle you’ll have to stomach here is the price. With a standard RRP of $499 (although a bit of cheeky bargain hunting should be able to shave $100 off that), the G915 is almost the same price as a PS4 or XBO.
Excessive? Perhaps, but this unit is pure class, so if you’ve been wanting to invite your friends over just to parade around your high levels of disposable income, few purchases are as impressive as this. Here’s some more ideas if you’re feeling extra saucy.
