Peters has well and truly fucked up the dessert game in the best possible way with a new iteration of their beloved ice-cream, the Drumstick Mega Tip.

The latest addition to the coned ice-cream canon has seen the brand double down on what makes their signature dessert so god damn irresistible, the chocolate tip.

The Drumstick Mega Tip arrives in two brand spanking new flavours. A completely opulent Choc, Peanut & Caramel; think a marriage between creamy chocolate, sticky peanut and a lavalike swirl of caramel syrup, ceremoniously embellished with crushed peanuts throughout. So naughty.

There’s also the chic and sophisticated Honey Macadamia; caramelised honey syrup engorges a body of rich macadamia, with crushed macadamias added into the fold for a textural treat.

It’s the best way to combat the only downside of gorging on this staple summer treat — the dreaded dairy drip that calcifies on one’s salty skin and turns everything into a sticky hellscape. The amped-up chocolate handle is sure to thwart this problem in its tracks. The only thing that could make this glorious news even better is if Peters’ knuckle down and launch a vegan version of the Mega Tip, manifesting baby.

The new Mega Tip flavours are available in a four-pack, and will set you back $8.40. You’ll be able to cop these bad boys from today at Coles, Woolworths, and independent retailers.

In addition to the new Mega Tip, Drumsticks have undergone a fresh makeover. The ice-cream connoisseurs have enlisted the help of Australian artist James Gulliver Hancock to redesign the product’s packaging with artwork that encapsulates the spirit of the Australian summer. Think hot days, games of cricket, the perennial fear of snakes and jellyfish, all the good things in life.
