Eric Andre does crazy stuff on ‘The Eric Andre Show’ all the time, but boy did he take it to the next level with his craziest interview yet.
Season five of The Eric Andre Show finally made it to airwaves in 2020 after a four-year break and it ‘s been pretty damn wild. Hannibal Buress quit, Lizzo appeared, and Grimes was brutally “tortured” for the sake of laughs.
Yet all that pales in comparison to the interview Andre had with Chad Johnson, which definitely ranks up there as one of the wildest things ever done on The Eric Andre Show.
So Andre got Johnson onto the show for a chat, only to realise that it wasn’t the Chad Johnson who was the former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver. Nope, this Chad Johnson is a white bloke who’s been on reality TV shows like The Bachelorette, Bachelor In Paradise, and Celebrity Big Brother UK, and has his very own OnlyFans.
This little “stuff up” resulted in a bit of an awkward start to the interview as Andre says he has no questions prepared for Johnson, though the TV host did peg footballs at him for some reason while accusing his guest of living in the “friend zone.”
Then things get cranked up from about a five to a 12 almost instantaneously as then a gun-wielding, nearly-naked man rappels down from the roof.
Andre shrugs at the sight of the nearly-naked man, shrugs, says “you gotta support the troops,” and proceeds to strip down naked himself.

And then he pisses in a glass before drinking it. Yes, that actually happened for real.
If that all sounds wild, it’s because it is. The crazy-viral Reddit thread dedicated to this interview is a testament to that as not only did it score an eye-opening 52.8K upvotes, but the general consensus from users was basically “yeah, that was just insane.”
After all that, that four-year hiatus between seasons suddenly makes a bit more sense – he must’ve spent all that time coming up with the craziest stuff to do. One has to wonder how Eric Andre will outdo himself going forward.
But after watching what unfolded with the Chad Johnson interview, he’ll figure out a way to do it somehow.
