Euphoria stars Zendaya, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Sydney Sweeney, Barbie Ferreira and Hunter Schafer hit the red carpet for an Emmy party in L.A. and dropped all sorts of bombs in their interviews.

First up, Alexa Demie who plays Maddy on Euphoria revealed that the entire script for season two of the TV show changed after the pandemic hit.

“The whole season two, we went to a table read, and it was an entirely different thing and then the pandemic happened. We had a break, came back, and it was a whole different season two.

The journalist asked Demie if Cassie and Nate were together in the original script.

“I don’t think so. I have a very selective memory, but I don’t think so, No.”

Demie also compared the experience of playing Maddy in season one and season two.

“There was a lot more dimension to the character this season.Whereas in season one, yes we did see different moments of her. But season two, there were some loud moments, there were some quiet moments, there were some funny moments, there were some heartbreaking moments. It just felt like she was human and going through life and dealing with those emotions. It felt different to play her the second time around.”

Hunter Schafer, who plays Jules, on Euphoria and is openly transgender, used her interviews on the red carpet to speak about the recent trans laws that have been proposed in Texas.

“It’s fucking gross. It’s awful. I think just stand firm in what you believe in and that’s in here [gestures to heart] and their bullshit rules can’t change that.”

Schafer also mentioned that she feels proud to be in a position where she can inspire other trans people.

“When I think about my community and particularly trans youth, their perception of it matters to me. It feels really good to feel seen and know that they might feel seen.”
