Sydney Sweeney’s character Cassie, has really stepped up to centre stage in season 2 of Euphoria. We have seen a lot, and by that I mean A LOT, of scenes of her character breaking down crying hysterically, screaming and even projectile vomiting after being overwhelmed (and belligerently drunk).

In fact, there’s be so many scenes of Cassie breaking down that it’s start somewhat of a meme revolution. A quick Twitter search will pull up hundreds of results of the breakout star breaking down.

Stepping out yesterday, it seems that Sweeney has taken a tongue-in-cheek jab at the onslaught of crying-cassie-memes. She was pictured wearing a tight white cropped shirt that reads, “I cry a lot (and that’s ok)”.

Some clever lil’ print shops quickly hopped onto the marketing opportunity, and advertised a similar shirt for sale on Etsy shops for the bargain price of USD $16.50 plus postage.

Just this week, Euphoria viewers were blessed with one of Sweeney’s best crying scenes yet. The segment sees drug addicted Rue run to the house that Cassie shares with her sister, and Rue’s childhood friend, Lexi. When Rue is questioned over her drug addiction she shifts the attention off her by revealing Cassie’s deep dark secret, that she’s been sleeping with her best friend’s, Maddy, ex boyfriend, Nate.

A look of guilt and shock instantly registers on Cassie’s face, an expression that social media users have dubbed the “the surprise Pikachu face”. Cassie goes to have a full on break down, where she starts hysterically crying, and memes galore ensued.

Check out some of the best crying Cassie memes below for your personal enjoyment.
