American actress Eva Mendes has revealed that she will be appearing at a charity event for Ronald McDonald House while in Australia with husband Ryan Gosling.

Gosling, Mendes and their two children touched down in Sydney on Thursday ahead of filming his new movie The Fall Guy which co-stars Emily Blunt.

The family of four are expected to stay in Australia until filming wraps at the end of this year.

In her first interview since arriving, Mendes told The Daily Telegraph that she will be partaking in a charity event for Ronald McDonald House, which aims to help children’s health and wellbeing.

“I’m looking forward to meeting with some of the incredible families staying at a Ronald McDonald House, listen to their inspirational stories and witness first-hand the life-changing support services provided by RMHC,” Mendes told the publication.

“McHappy Day is a wonderful way for Aussies to support RMHC and families of seriously ill and injured children.”

Gosling and Mendes have kept a relatively low profile since landing in Australia. Upon arrival, they were escorted through Sydney airport by a bodyguard, after disembarking their long-haul flight from America. Gosling donned sunnies and a cap in an attempt to keep a low profile, however, clued-on paps managed to capture pictures of him.
