If you and the homies were craving to chow down on a choc top whilst indulging in a viewing of Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom, I’ve got brilliant news. Event Cinemas has announced that they will be hosting private movie sessions for you and twenty of your nearest and dearest, where you get to choose what to watch.

The private cinema experience will allow you and up to 20 friends to rent a cinema all to yourself. You’ll be able to choose from a range of new releases, cult classics and family movies and have a neverending stream of unlimited popcorn and drinks. If you’re the kind of psychopath that takes pleasure in letting an underpaid teenager wait on you hand and foot then you’re in luck, the experience offers a dedicated host for the evening.

A selection of the titles on offer include The Personal History of David Copperfield, Babyteeth and Unhinged alongside classics like 10 Things I Hate About You, Fight Club, Grease, Mad Max 1979 (lit), Moulin Rouge, Frozen, Jungle Book, Joker, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Matrix and more.

The whole shebang will set you back $500 (or $25 pp), which, for unlimited popcorn and post-mix, is actually kind of a sweet deal.

Alternatively, you could probably get a projector of your own for a fraction of the cost and enjoy watching whatever you wanted from the comfort of your home, with the freedom to choof and order a smorgasbord of UberEats. In case you missed it, Bulla started flogging four packs of their sacred, holy choc-tops in supermarkets.

The private cinema experience will be available nationally at all Event Cinemas for a limited time. Bookings must be made before August 14th, and are valid for screenings until 31 August, 2020. For more information head to head to www.eventcinemas.com.au.
