Ezra Miller returned to the spotlight this week when they appeared at ‘The Flash’ premiere.

Their red carpet walk came after several years of serious controversy, with Warner Bros and DC having to deal with a public relations nightmare of epic proportions.

On the red carpet this week, Miller thanked executives for their “discernment and care,” but many people just can’t fathom the actor being allowed to even be at the premiere.

Because Miller’s last few years have been filled with a string of arrests, accusations of grooming, and highly erratic behaviour.

Below, you can check out a timeline of Miller’s many recent controversies:

Getting Too Close to a Fan

In early 2020, Miller was caught choking a woman at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. In the short clip, they could be heard asking, “Oh, you wanna fight? That’s what you wanna do?” to a young woman. The woman, in a joking manner, prepared to fight. Miller then grabbed the girl by the throat and threw her to the ground. The person filming the video could then be heard saying, “Woah, bro. Bro,” before the video cuts off abruptly.

According to a witness at the bar, Prikið Kaffihús, the clash took place after Miller was approached by a group of eager fans, who were supposedly “quite pushy.” The interaction escalated and Miller lost his temper at the woman shown in the video. Miller was then escorted off the premises.

Unexpected Feud

Sometimes a feud comes along so unexpected that it genuinely blows you away. Stepping into the fold vacated by new mates Drake and Kanye at the start of 2021 was Miller and…the Ku Klux Klan.

It was supposedly serious too. The actor posted a wild Instagram video in January, calling themselves “The Mad Goose Wizard” and saying that they had a message “for the Beulaville chapter of the North Carolina Ku Klux Klan.”

“Hello, first of all, how are y’all doing,” Miller calmly said in the clip. “It’s me! If y’all wanna die I suggest just killing yourselves with your own guns. Ok? Otherwise, keep doing exactly what you’re doing right – and you know what I’m talking about – and we’ll do it for you if that’s what you really want.”

Miller then finished by saying, “talk to you soon, ok, bye!” The Fantastic Beasts star also stated in the post’s caption that “this is not a joke and even though I do recognise myself to be a clown please trust me and take this seriously.” It’s still unclear what’s prompted Miller to make this video but they sounded extremely upset.

Berlin Harassment

A woman, identified as Nadia, came forward to claim that Miller had harassed her during a heated incident at her Berlin apartment. According to Nadia, she was scared the actor would “somehow attack me physically” during the confrontation. “I totally felt unsafe,” she said.

Nadia said the pair’s normal two-year friendship took a bad turn when she told Miller they couldn’t smoke inside the apartment. “That just set them off,” Nadia told Variety, adding that she eventually called the police: “I asked them to leave about 20 times, maybe more. They started insulting me. I’m a ‘transphobic piece of shit.’ I’m a ‘Nazi.’ They were going around my house, looking at everything, touching everything, spreading tobacco leaves on the floor.”

Hawaii One-O

Miller’s first offence on the island came last month. They were arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment after an alleged incident at a popular Hawaiian nightspot. In a public tweet, the “Vermont Visitor” was confirmed to be arrested after South Hilo officers responded to reports of a disorderly bar patron.

Police alleged that Miller had become “agitated” while other patrons sang karaoke and began “yelling obscenities.” Miller then “grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts.”

The bar owner allegedly asked Miller to calm down several times “to no avail”. After being arrested and charged on offences of disorderly conduct and harassment, Miller paid the meagre $500 bond and was released from custody.

Flashes of Anger at The Flash

After Warner Bros and DC executives held an emergency meeting to discuss Miller’s future as The Flash, a source told Rolling Stone that the actor had “frequent meltdowns” during filming. “Ezra would get a thought in [their] head and say, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing.,'” the source claimed.

Hawaii Two-O

Ezra Miller is becoming a more imminent threat to the people of Hawaii than active volcanoes. Just one month after their arrest for disorderly conduct and harassment, The Flash star found themselves in trouble with the law on the island again this week.

This time their arrest came for second-degree assault after an incident at a residence in Pāhoa. Officials say Miller “became irate” after being asked to leave a gathering and threw a chair, which struck a 26-year-old woman on the head, leaving a half-inch cut.

Miller was arrested at 1:30 a.m. during a traffic stop, and was released from custody at about 4:05 a.m. An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.

Stealing Music

Music producer Oliver Ignatius and rapper Ghais Guevara claimed that Miller stole music they had worked on together, and even posted it on SoundCloud with no credit given to either artist. Ignatius, who had been a longtime friend of the actor’s, said their actions were “extremely unethical and hurtful.”

According to several sources close to Miller, their erratic behaviour was huge cause for concern. The sources told Vanity Fair that Miller believed they were “the next Messiah,” and sought out “malleable” young people to join their flock. Miller’s polyamory was called into question, with sources claiming it was more akin to a “patriarchal dictatorship where Ezra controls all the sex as the man, and plays the women against each other, screams at them, belittles them in front of the others.”

Crimes and Misdemeanours

Miller pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour charge of unlawful trespass that took place during their Vermont burglary arrest. They agreed to pay a $500 fine, serve one year of probation, undergo random drug testing, and continue their mental health treatment.
