A potential leak has just teased the possibility of Ryan Gosling joining the MCU in a project that would begin filming next year.

The celebrity rumour mill @deuxmoiworld recently cited that Ryan Gosling could potentially be joining the MCU in a project set to film next year, although they aren’t aware how big the role is yet.

Fans are already speculating what role Gosling could fill, with many pointing towards Nova as the perfect fit. This would be a good role for Gosling, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has already wrapped filming. Only time will tell where Gosling will land within the greater MCU landscape.

The MCU isn’t the only thing that has Gosling buzzing, as fans have been given a steady diet of news from the upcoming Barbie film. A tweet from Kyle Buchanan, who made a trip to Cannes, revealed that multiple actors will be taking on the helm of both Barbie and Ken in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. The previous casting for Barbie and Ken was limited to Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, respectively. Now, it’s reported that Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa will be joining Gosling as Ken, while Issa Rae and Hari Nef will be joining Robbie as Barbie.

This news has of course prompted many to speculate about a multiverse concept for the movie. The multiverse is a concept that is at the forefront of many movie goer’s minds, as recent films such as Spider-Man: No Way Home, Everything Everywhere All At Once, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has seen success adapting the concept to big screens. Some people in the comments seem to be joking about the multiverse aspect of the movie while others are taking a more serious approach.
