Farmer wants a wife winner Jess Cova and Will Simpson have opened up about where their relationship stands now.
Although the show’s finale aired on Monday night and the reunion last night, filming for FWAW actually wrapped six months ago. So, viewers have naturally been wondering how the relationship stands between the farmer’s final picks.
The reality stars had to hide the status of their relationship for months in order to not ruin the ending for viewers. Fortunately, fans of Will and Jess will be happy to know that the couple is still going strong.
“It feels like a massive weight’s been lifted this morning,” Jess told Confidential about being able to make their relationship public. “It’s so good to feel like I’m not hiding.”
Will told the publication that he and Jess watched the show together, which only strengthened their relationship.
“We watched most of the show together,” he said.
“It was really weird. Because that was six months ago, and we’ve developed such an amazing relationship since then, on top of what we’d done on the show.”

Though Jess’s story line on the show suggested that she wasn’t ready to move to Will’s country town of Berriwillock, Victoria, the reality star actually made the move just weeks after filming finished.
“The show was meant to air in May. I was going to be home for a month in April and move in May. But it was only two weeks because we couldn’t stand any more time apart,” Jess said.
“Our relationship has been accelerated the whole way,” Jess said. “But I don’t feel like I’ve rushed into anything. Even though it comes across like that.
“I feel like I’ve known Will forever.”
Will added that Jess has had no problem transitioning into country life. “Jess is confident in herself and that’s what I was looking for in someone,” he said.
“It takes a big person to move somewhere where you don’t know anyone besides your partner. She’s embedded herself in the local community so quickly, into my family, into farm life, farm work — she’s taken a big step into so many different things that are important to our area, and important to me. It’s really special the way Jess has gone about it. She’s one of a kind.”
