And the finalists are…
The FBi’s Northern Lights Competition is a dynamic platform that showcases young extraditionary talent from all over the country on an international stage. The winning act will gain a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform at the prestigious Iceland Airwaves Music Festival.
The well-deserved winner will join the likes of PJ Harvey, Warpaint, Julia Holter, Kate Tempest and múm in the official festival lineup. Once arriving back to Australia, the musician will experience three days of recording, mixing and mastering at Studios 301.
There were a massive 600 extrants from all around Australia, and the high calibre of talent will make it diffcult for the judges to pick the final winner. The finalists include: Anatole, Baro, Christopher Port, Georgia Mulligan, Buoy, MEZKO, Middle Kids and Oh Pep!
The winner of FBi Radio’s Northern Lights 2016 competition will be revealed in early September: in the meantime listen to their tracks here.
