Need something to watch next month? We’re taking a look at five of our favourite television shows streaming on Stan this February 2021.
After going through everything that’s coming in February 2021 for Netflix, Binge, Amazon Prime, and Disney+, it’s now time for Stan to take the streaming spotlight and boy is there some good stuff coming.
Here are five of the best shows coming that we can’t recommend enough.
It’s A Sin
Set in 1980s London, It’s A Sin is a five-part drama miniseries from award-winning writer Russell T. Davies (Queer as Folk).
Starring Olly Alexander, Neil Patrick Harris and Stephen Fry, the series explores the lives of three young gay men living through the AIDS epidemic. It’s beautiful, moving, hilarious and heartbreaking. Starring Olly Alexander (Skins), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Stephen Fry (Gosford Park), Lydia West (Years and Years), Keeley Hawes (Line of Duty), Shaun Dooley (Broadchurch) and more.
The Virtues

The Virtues is relentless, shattering and difficult. I found myself pausing the show on more than one occasion because some scenes are so stomach-churningly painful. Those familiar with the work of Shane Meadows (This Is England) probably have an idea of the bleakness that’s in store. Those that aren’t, good luck. Led by a revelatory performance from Stephen Graham.

Veronica Mars
Why don’t they make teen shows like this any more? If you were looking to commit to nostalgia look no further than Veronica Mars. It’s a whip-smart, firecracker of a show that rarely misses a beat. As a veteran of watching almost every golden era teen show, I can say with full confidence that Veronica Mars is one of the finest offerings in the canon. It makes for a cracking bit of carb viewing for a weary brain. Kristen Bell is far too charming for her own good.
Looking for Alaska
If you spent your teenage years huddled over your computer, teaching yourself how to code Tumblr themes and cutting out Panic! At The Disco lyrics with surgical precision to stick on your fairy-light strewn bedroom wall, chances are you’ve probably watched this already. If not, and are partial to a teen drama, this is a very good, faithful adaptation of John Green’s beloved YA lit staple.
It restored my hope in a genre where most teen shows feel as though they were written by a writers room of those sitting on the cusp of millennial and gen x that just found out about “woke” culture. It’s full of heart and sweet, sweet romance.
P-Valley
Based on the play by Katori Hall, P-Valley is balls to the wall entertainment. A totally enthralling look into the lives of strip club dancers working down in the Mississippi Delta.
