After more than 30 years on the scene as one of the hardest-working people in show business, comedy icon Fred Armisen is set to make his way down to Australia for the first time ever this year.

Over the last couple of decades, it’s been pretty hard to avoid seeing the name Fred Armisen. Maybe you recognise his work on TV programmes like Saturday Night Live or the Peabody Award-winning Portlandia?

Maybe you recognise him from roles in films like EuroTrip or Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy? Or maybe you’ve seen him performing in bands like Devo, post-hardcore group Trenchmouth, or The 8G Band on Late Night with Seth Meyers?

However, you certainly wouldn’t recognise him from his appearances on Australian shores, with Fred Armisen today announcing his debut tour of the country.

Kicking off in August, Fred Armisen is bringing his show Comedy For Musicians But Everyone Is Welcome to Australia, performing in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, with a Sydney show taking place as part of the Just For Laughs festival.

Tickets to these highly-anticipated shows go on sale from Monday, July 15th, and will undoubtedly give audience members one of the most exhilarating experiences they’ve had all year.
