Any Sydney-sider knows that Messina is the crème de la crème when it comes to ice cream. So, who would say no to scoop of the stuff for FREE?
Fortunately, Messina and ubank are giving Sydneysiders just that at USYD’s O-week from Wednesday 15th February – Friday 17th February. Plus, they’ll be giving one lucky person a whole freaking year’s worth of FREE Messina to the value of $2500.

USYD – 9am to 5pm Wednesday 15th February – Friday 17th February, grassed area on University Place, between Manning Road & Science Road. In front of the Quadrangle building.
In even better news, it’s not just new and returning students who can grab some free ice cream at USYD, staff/teachers or anyone in between with a love for ice cream are welcome to visit the stand and reap the benefits.
Unsurprisingly, in true Messina style, the flavours on offer are absolutely mouthwatering, and those attending can choose from the below options:
- Choc-Full of Benefits: Light coco gelato with chocolate chips.
- Berry Good Rates: Messina-made yoghurt gelato with poached boysenberry coulis
- Fudging Full O’Features: Milk chocolate gelato slathered in choc peanut fudge
- Give Us A Man-Go: Mango sorbet made from Laudham Park mangos in Townsville, QLD

For those keen on taking their chance at winning a year’s worth of Messina, valued at $2,500, they can simply head to the ubank “La Gelateria” ice cream stand at USYD between the aforementioned dates.
Here, they’ll take part in the “What’s Your Flavour?” photo booth challenge, by simply taking a cheeky selfie or pic at the stand, and uploading it to socials (e.g. Twitter, IG, FB or TikTok) tagging ubank of course — the most creative pic wins!
The lucky prize winner will be determined between 12:01pm and 5pm AEST on Friday 3rd March 2023
