Garage-grass pioneers and local Sydney favourites Green Mohair Suits have made their belated arrival as a headlining unit, having functioned for much of the past seven years as a side project for their prolific members’ various other bands. Brian Campeau, Richard Cuthbert, Jason Mannell and Ben Romalis have released their third album, Wooden Duck, which features three songs apiece from each of the songwriters (and one extra). Falling somewhere between alt-country, bluegrass and indie rock, its highlights include ‘Aubergine’ and ‘Open Door Metaphor’.
The Mohairs are launching their new record on an east coast tour, stopping by The Vanguard on Saturday October 11. We’ve got two double passes to give away to the show – for your chance to win, head to the comments below and tell us your favourite country song.
