Marvel has been announcing many large projects lately along with some pretty amazing diverse and dynamic casting. Now, ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star Gemma Chan is supposedly in talks to join Marvel’s new film ‘The Eternals’.

‘The Eternals’ is Marvel’s 25th film in the Marvel cinematic universe and was officially confirmed by Kevin Feige at Marvel’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. The film is set to release in late 2020 and is shaping up to be absolutely star-studded.

Chan would be joining the likes of Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden and Salma Hayek in this ensemble superhero movie. Chan is in talks to play as a new MCU character for this film. Earlier this year Chan played Minn-Erva in ‘Captain Marvel’ but sources indicate she will have a completely unrelated role to her previous MCU role.

If ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ is anything to go by, Gemma Chan will absolutely blow us away with her phenomenal acting talents.

Marvel Studios is yet to confirm any of this, but while some actors have appeared in different roles from MCU films to TV, it is not often that an actor is brought back for a different role. Whether this would confuse audiences or go smooth will all depend on how Marvel approaches this and whether Chan is actually a part of ‘The Eternals’ movie or not.

‘The Eternals’ was created by Jack Kirby in 1976, and is based around the titular Eternals, who were created by the Celestials millions of years in the past by experimenting on early humanity. They created two races, the Eternals and the Deviant who are constantly in conflicts as time goes on.

The film is setting out to be a great cinematic experience rich in story. It will be directed by Chloe Zhao from a script by Matthew and Ryan Firpo while Kevin Feige will produce.

Hopefully, the new MCU phase will be as good as the previous ones. We are looking forward to seeing this dynamic cast in action in ‘The Eternals’ November 2020.
