Sydney musician Georgia Mulligan has released a new song and accompanying video.
Entitled ‘The Dark’, the new tune sees Mulligan’s spell-bounding voice serenade above swaying, ethereal guitar chords, before ending in a rollicking, upbeat conclusion. The track is full of heart – as is the video. Produced by Hazel Annikki Savolainen and Mulligan itself, the clip intersperses shots of Mulligan and band performing the song with visions of the singer quite literally following a heart around town.
Mulligan’s debut EP Our Blood To Part was released in 2016, with tracks ‘Different’, ‘Worst Part’ and ‘White Lies’ receiving rotation from Triple J Unearthed, FBi Radio and 2ser. The songwriter has spent the past couple of years performing with the likes of Julia Jacklin, Oh Pep!, Nadia Reid and Laura Jean, and was selected by Triple J Unearthed last year to play Fairgrounds Festival in Berry alongside Aldous Harding, Gang Of Youths and Japanese Breakfast.
It’s the second single to come from Mulligan this year, following the release of ‘So Long‘ back in April.
