I’m sure you’re aware that these days, its hard to come by a person without some kind of dietary requirement – gluten-free? Yep! Dairy? No thank you. Meat? Get outta here.

With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that restaurants and food suppliers around the country are becoming more and more tolerant of our, erm, intolerance. Enter, The Good Place. It’s a brand-spanking new health-centred dietary requirement-friendly eatery.

Former My Kitchen Rules finalist Scott Gooding is at the helm of this friendly establishment. Gooding has channeled his inner paddock-to-plate mindset into this first of its kind restaurant.

Locations currently set to launch include Blacktown and Central Park in Sydney, and Buddina and Surfers Paradise in Queensland. A Sydney South eatery has already opened in Miranda.

The good place is a totally gluten and soy free restaurant, and most products are low in carbs and sugar. The best bit? It’s open all day, every day.

Now for the menu. Breakfast dishes will be a total hit at The Good Place. You’ve got the choice of dishes like the Kakadu Smoothie Bowl with coconut cream, MCT oil, Kakadu plum and peanut butter, or, the pesto omelette – with chargrilled greens, both sound pretty darn nutritious.

You’re also quite spoilt for choice with the dinner menu, with everything from a creamy (mmm…) vegan curry to tender ox cheeks in a sticky sauce, with chargrilled greens, to the 12-hour slow-cooked lamb with roast potatoes and  Café de Paris butter.

For the sweet tooths, The Good Place has prepared the semi freddo, made with raspberries, dark chocolate, coconut, macadamia and coconut kefir. Or, maybe you could try the Raspberry Floater – hemp organic kombucha with house-made chocolate ice cream.

They haven’t forgotten about adult beverages either, with all kinds of health-conscious cocktails, and certified organic wines on offer.

Gooding has made sure his Good Place sources all their produce in a sustainable and ethical way wherever possible. Good onya, Gooding.

Gooding’s Miranda restaurant is now open at Westfield Miranda. Locations across NSW and QLD are opening soon, and we’ll be sure to let you know when that happens. For now, stay Good.
