It’s been reported that Hamish Blake and Zoe Foster were victims of a home invasion just before Christmas last year.

Daily Mail Australia has said that 34-year-old man Daniel Booth is accused of breaking into the couples’ 4-bedroom-house Woollahra rental while they were sleeping and stealing their luxury Land Rover.

According to the publication, police will allege in court that Booth entered through the kitchen at 6am and stole Foster’s handbag containing the car keys before driving their Land Rover Defender away. They will also allege that the couple found their car four kilometres away in Sydney suburb Redfern.

Police arrested Booth who was allegedly found still in possession of the car key and handbag. He has been charged with aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence with people there and stealing a motor vehicle.

Blake and Foster rented the house while their five-bedroom, six-bathroom Vaucluse home was renovated.

“And it’s a pretty good rental, because they have so many spoons,” Blake said on his Instagram story when telling his followers the family had moved into a rental.

“They even put a massive one on the wall,” he added, showing a wall-mounted spoon. “So, must be nice. Must be very, very nice.”

Blake and Foster have since moved back into their newly-renovated Vaucluse house, and sat down with Vogue recently for a tour.

“When we decided to move to Sydney, we bought a house that was definitely in need of love and energy and a whole new feeling. Yas [interior designer] was the only choice.”

She added, “The powder room is one of my favourites because it’s so unexpected to have such a pretty guest bathroom,” she told the publication.

“I love it because it operates on the same philosophy as the one that runs through all my work and particularly Go-To: it has no right to be that fun. I mean, it’s a toilet.”
