Would you like some cool Transformers merchandise? Well lucky you, because AnimeLab and Hasbro have got you covered.

AnimeLab, the streaming home for all the best anime shows direct from Japan, and Hasbro, creators of Transformers, have partnered together with some incredible Aussie artists to bring you a competition with some amazing prizes. To learn more about the competition, click here.

It’s being done to celebrate the release of Transformers War for Cybertron: Kingdom, the final instalment in the exciting trilogy. Kingdom is due for release on Netflix on July 29th and it’s set to be one mammoth final battle between the Autobots and Decepticons as both factions teeter on the edge of extinction.

The competition combines Transformers War for Cybertron: Kingdom figures with original beautiful hand-drawn artworks by a selection of awesome anime-inspired artists. The total prize pool comes in at a whopping $3,000 so there’s plenty of swag on offer.

There’s two major prizes up for grabs. First of all, you could walk away with a Core Optimus Prime toy with an Optimus Prime A3 Original Artwork by Kirabunni. “I picked to draw Optimus Prime because I really liked his colour theme,” the artist revealed. “His character is very different to what I usually draw so I wanted to try and change it up a little bit!”

The second major prize is a Studio Series Deluxe TF6 Bumblebee toy complete with a Bumblebee A3 Original Artwork by Cactuskhee. After growing up watching anime, Khee is now living the dream as a storyboard artist for children’s cartoons and films. Their reason for choosing to draw Bumblebee was sweet: “I like that Bumblebee is portrayed as a more cheerful and energetic character than the other Autobots,” they explained. “Bumblebee offers more optimistic and light-hearted moments against the more serious personalities of the Transformers cast!”

If that wasn’t enough, both major prizes also come with several other toys – Core Megatron, Deluxe Cheetor, Voyager DinoBot, Leader Optimus Prime, Generations Combiner Wars Devastator, – as well as a $100 Madman voucher to spend on whatever you want (probably to buy more Transformers merch though, right?).

If you miss out on the major prizes, there’s also the chance to win two runner up prizes. First up you could get your hands on a Core Starscream toy alongside a Starscream A3 Original Artwork by Akiocha. Drawing started out as a hobby for the artist before becoming their job. When it came to choosing a character to draw, they had an unexpected viewpoint. “I’m a sucker for villains,” they said. “I’m always rooting for the bad guys and they don’t come much more bad than Starscream. Also his name is Starscream. Star. Scream. Enough said!”

For the second runner up prize, try a Core Soundwave toy and a Soundwave A3 Original Artwork by Koichame. It was the character’s distinctive blue and silver colour scheme that initially attracted the artist to drawing Soundwave. “The transparent window on his front really stood out and I found out later that it was a tape deck tray and his design is based off a cassette,” they revealed. “I thought it would be fun to incorporate some sound and music motifs in my design.”
