While that Lizzie McGuire sadly never panned out, Hilary Duff has been busy working on Younger. And today she’s announced some super exciting sit-com news.

According to Deadline, Duff will reprise the role of Sophie who will tell her story of how she met her son’s father. The story’s plot will kick off in the year 2021, where Sophie and her “close-knot group of friends” are “figuring out who they are, what they want out of life and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.” So yes, while the show may follow the original How I Met Your Mother formula, it’s not without all of the new-age, digital trappings.

Duff took to Instagram to announce the news, “Where’s your suit? Suit up!” she exclaimed.

“I’m excited about my job if you can’t tell you guys. Today’s the day, the news came out that I am going to be shooting How I Met Your Father and playing the role of Sophie. I’m really excited to dig in and start finding out who Sophie is going to be, and the new on screen family that I’m going to have – super exciting, and really looking forward to being a part of the Hulu and 20th Century family, and working with the amazing writers and producers that are spearheading this project.”

She continued, “I truly feel blessed and I can’t wait. So I hope you’re excited just like me.”

20th Television president, Karey Burke said in a statement referring to How I Met Your Father, “Its fans have clamored for more ever since our final broadcast seven years ago. Our genius producers Isaac and Elizabeth who are – wait for it – legendary within our halls, have created a spectacular new take which both honors the original and is entirely their own.”

“Carter and Craig will return as executive producers, and who better to star as the central character than the incredible Hilary Duff? Many thanks to Craig Erwich and everyone at Hulu Originals for loving the script as much as we did and to our fantastic team who helped put this all together. I could not be more excited. Let the speculation as to who the father is commence.”
