New albumTemples is set for a Sydney launch at Frankie’s Pizza.

Proclaimed skate-rockers Holy Serpent are set to celebrate recent release of album Temples onUS-label RidingEasy, with the announcement of a free show down at Frankie’s Pizza.

The Melbourne-based outfit take cues from sludge, Sabbath, skate-punk and stoner rock, with influences ranging acrossearly Soundgarden, Saint Vitus and Kyuss on their newest record.

Temples sees them take a heavier direction musically, with album closer ‘Sativan Harvest’emphasizing this new direction with 12 minutes of droning peaks and troughs, and culminating in a gradual violin fade-out.

Holy Serpent play a free gig at Frankie’s Pizza on Sunday October 16 as part of theirTemples album tour. They’ll be supported by Lord Sword and Way of the Wolf.
