House Of Cards have today released the first teaser for its final season, and it has already got almost everybody talking.
Back in October, we received word that House Of Cards was getting set to film its upcoming sixth season. However just weeks later, it was revealed that the show had been cancelled in the wake of the news that lead actor Kevin Spacey had been accused of sexual assault.
While the show is still continuing, this upcoming season is set to be its last, and will be a little bit different to the rest, namely that due to Kevin Spacey’s dismissal from the show, it won’t be focusing on Frank Underwood anymore. Rather, it’s set to feature Robin Wright in the lead role, portraying her as the United States’ 47th President, and first female President.
Yes, while everyone was busy watching the Academy Awards today, Netflix figured that now would be the perfect time to give fans a taste of the new season, and it’s generating just as much hype as you’d expect.
Consisting of little more than a sweeping look through the halls of the White House, we’re soon met by now-President Clare Underwood who boldly proclaims “We’re just getting started.” If that isn’t enough to get you excited for the show’s final eight episodes, nothing is.
While we’ve got no word yet as to when the last season is set to drop, we’re expecting that it’s still quite a few months away, sadly.
