Are you suffering MAFS withdrawal pains? Or are you tired of hearing about Olivia Frazer and Jackson’s escapades on a weekly basis?
Thankfully Love Island UK is back for another year of sexy singles and bitchy betrayals. There’s no Aussies in sight but there’s plenty of pommy contestants just as eager to find love, or at the very least gain a few thousand more Instagram followers.
Some of the notable new romantic wannabes include Gemma Owen, daughter of England football legend Michael Owen, and the series’ first ever deaf contestant, Tasha Ghouri.
There are some intriguing changes this year: there’s a new villa in Mallorca to host all the shenanigans, the first change of scenery since season three; for the first time in the series’ history, the original couples will be decided by the voting public. That’s a lot of power in an over-excited nation’s hands.
Cute couple Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling are back once more as host and narrator though, because it wouldn’t be Love Island UK without them.
Season eight of the iconic reality series debuted on ITV2 in the UK on Monday, June 6th, but don’t worry if you’re in Australia, there’s a couple of ways to wash it Down Under.
Each Love Island UK episode will make its way here as soon as it hits ITV2, with it airing one day later due to the time difference. So Monday night’s episode, for example, will be available to Aussies on Wednesday, June 8th.

The place to find season eight is on 9Now, which handily also has other seasons of both Love Island Australia and Love Island UK to catch up on. Each episode will be ready to scream daily after airing in the UK, so you won’t have to avoid social media in case of spoilers.
