The Hunter Valley Wine & Food Festival will return this year, with a bigger lineup of events, and more time to enjoy these, than ever seen before.

Set to take over the region during May and June, the mammoth event aims to showcase the world-class food and wine culture of the area with over 70 events and activities on the bill.

Some highlights of the program include the By The Fireside Dinner Series at The Hunter Valley Resort, held every Friday commencing May 6. This is an intimate affair which allows guests the opportunity to hear first hand from a winemaker the intricacies of their craft (complete with samples), whilst enjoying a perfectly matched fireside meal.

There will also be a Cheese Lovers Festival, featuring over 40 cheese, wine and craft beer stalls, complete with entertainment and plenty of tasting opportunities, making for a stellar day out.

And, for something a little more niche, golf lovers can also look forward to the Cork and Fork Cup at The Vintage Golf Club, which offers punters the opportunity to indulge in on-course food and wine tasting whilst putting away.

It all goes during May and June at various locations around the Hunter Valley, two hours north of Sydney. For more details on the program, head here.
