I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! will return to our screens later than usual next year, with Channel Ten bumping it down the calendar to make room for The Bachelors – but there may be an ‘all-star’ motive as well.
So Dramatic! gossip podcast host Megan Pustetto told listeners a Channel Ten insider confirmed the next season is happening despite there being “lots of talks about it being cut.”
“The execs made an executive decision to keep it going, but postpone it until later in the year, during the ratings period,” the insider revealed on episode 218 of the podcast, adding that it will be happening “probably around April” with both the production and air dates pushed back to 2023.
The insider then added: “The fact that they delayed production and are moving it into a ratings period makes me think that it might be an All-Stars series.”
Over 100 celebrities have taken part in the eight seasons of I’m a Celebrity that have aired so far, including sports stars, TV hosts, models, musicians, reality stars and comedians.
The program even hosted “fake celebrity” David Subritzky, who competed against season eight winner Dylan Lewis, reality star Joey Essex, Miss Universe Australia 2021 Maria Thattil and Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm.
If an All-Stars season is on the cards, it would be entertaining to see former MAFS stars Davina Rankin and Ryan Gallagher return to the jungle in the same season (Gallagher competed in season six).
